The project’s objective is to provide better understanding and near real-time response to water pollution incidents; better prediction of pollution spread and improved response for mitigation of effects in the long run; data-driven AI life-long learning and evolution of the algorithm.
It is led by Dr. Atakan Aral in cooperation with Università della Svizzera italiana (Switzerland), Istanbul Technical University (Turkey) and Finnish Environment Institute (Finland).
